Dear BayPay Members ,
With success stories like Square and a few IPOs of more established players, investors are starting realizing that there is money to be made on this category. On the other side of the spectrum, entrepreneurs are creating new products and services that will disrupt a market already very shaken.
For the last few years, we have created events around the major trends in payments seen from the inside but for this third event of the year, we wanted to discuss trends with the very people investing in them and taking the risk of accelerating or creating them.
During this event, we will ask questions to these successful and very well known investors to understand:
- their vision of the market today
- what are the past, present and potential future trends they have identified
- If mobile is entering a bubble or still has potential
- how and when to get involved with startups when you are an executive from a stable company
- best way to get funding nowadays
- what are the winning business models from an investor perspective
- lessons learnt and ugly stories
- is Silicon Valley still a magnet?
Of course, this session will be interactive to allow many questions from the audience.
For this event, we have discussed with many VCs and have selected these ones for at least one of the following reasons:
- a good understanding of the payment or commerce space
- a disruptive business models compared to other firms in the same category
- an international interest to either bring companies to Silicon Valley or invest in their own counrty
- they represent a category of investors that we see growing
- they are smart and we are sure you will be impressed as well

We want also with this event to give to entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs so they can share tips and maybe introductions to help each other. We are in Silicon valley, remember.
For this event, we will be hosted by our sponsor Silicon valley Bank in Santa Clara, California.
Bring your business cards, as there will be time to network prior to and following the focused discussion.
We are working actively to create this panel so stay tuned and come back:
